About this page

This page is maintained by the Intensiq team to answer common questions about what the app does, what it does not do, and where its limits are. It sits alongside the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, and does not replace them.

Not medical advice

Intensiq is a training timer, log and coaching tool. It is software — not a medical device, not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, and not a substitute for a doctor, physiotherapist or registered dietitian. Nothing in the app, the blog, the AI coach or our emails should be read as medical advice. Never delay or disregard professional medical advice because of something you read or saw here.

Talk to a clinician first

High intensity resistance training to muscular failure is demanding. Speak with a physician before starting, especially if you are pregnant, recovering from surgery or injury, or living with heart, blood pressure, metabolic, joint or musculoskeletal conditions, or if you take medication that affects heart rate, blood pressure or blood sugar. If you feel chest pain, dizziness, faintness, severe or radiating pain, loss of bladder or bowel control, or unusual shortness of breath, stop immediately and seek medical care.

You assume the risk of training

Exercise carries an inherent risk of injury. You are responsible for your own technique, for the equipment you use, for the loads you select and for training within your own limits. Intensiq suggests loads, cadences and progressions from the numbers you log — those are suggestions, not instructions, and you should override them whenever they do not match how you feel that day.

AI coach limitations

The AI coach generates text from your logged training, recovery and check-in data using a large language model. It can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and it can misread your context. It does not diagnose conditions, and it will not give medication, dosing or prescription advice. Treat its answers as a starting point for your own judgement, and check anything health-related with a qualified professional. Conversations are used to give the coach context about your training; see the Privacy Policy for how that data is handled.

Measurements are estimates

Time under load, cadence, rep counts, range of motion, form flags, calorie figures, readiness and recovery scores are estimates derived from timers, your inputs and on-device camera or sensor analysis. Camera-based form analysis depends on lighting, framing, clothing and device performance and will sometimes be inaccurate or miss reps entirely. Do not use any number in Intensiq for clinical, diagnostic or safety-critical purposes.

Imported and wearable data

Heart rate, HRV, sleep, weight and body-composition values imported from Apple Health, Google Health Connect or other connected sources are supplied by those devices and services. Their accuracy, availability and sync timing are outside our control. Gaps or errors in imported data will affect the insights Intensiq shows.

Results are not guaranteed

Any outcomes, timelines, before-and-after images or member stories shown on this site are individual experiences, not typical results and not a promise of what you will achieve. Strength and body composition outcomes depend on genetics, age, sleep, nutrition, medication, training history and consistency. Intensiq does not guarantee any specific result.

Research and educational content

Our blog, protocol pages and science pages summarise published research for a general audience. Summaries are simplified, may not reflect the latest literature, and are not a substitute for reading the underlying studies or for individual clinical guidance. References are provided so you can check the source yourself. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the authors, books or trainers we cite; names such as Body By Science or Mike Mentzer are used only to describe training methods and belong to their respective owners.

Recommendations and third parties

Equipment, gyms, apps and products mentioned in the app or on this site are informational. We do not warrant third-party products or services, and links to external sites are not an endorsement of their content, safety or privacy practices. Where a recommendation is paid, sponsored or earns us a commission, we say so next to the recommendation.

Availability and data loss

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". Offline mode, camera recording, push notifications, calendar sync and health integrations depend on your device, browser and network and can fail without notice. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose — you can export your data at any time from Settings.

Billing

Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and are processed by Stripe. Subscription, cancellation and refund terms are set out in the Terms of Service; nothing on marketing pages overrides them.
